Course Description

This course deals with Public Policy and Governance associated with Data Analytics. The course plays a vital role in the use of Statistical Social Science tools to generate intensified and magnified values. The Course Module with the help of statistics applied in Social Science, helps to acknowledge the various issues, which form the basis for Policy Decisions and thus lead to improvement in different aspects of Policy Research.

The course can be broadly categorized into two criteria; one for studying the various types of data used for public policy research and secondly the various tools and techniques applied for insight into various policy studies, needed for the data analyzing process. The use of statistics in the various fields of Social Science can lead to the generation of practical and verifiable knowledge applied in a specified field thus creating enormous contribution to Policy making.

Data Analytics for Policy Research implies the use of a wider and comprehensive set of tools, techniques and methods for Data Collection, Analysis and Detailed Study of data that consciously adds to the knowledge in the current field of study.
