American Society for Public Administration: Washington DC 2025

Prof. Rumki Basu attended ASPA2025, an enriching conference that fostered critical discussions on democracy, governance, and public administration. As part of the session Public Service Innovations: Transforming Governance, Infrastructure & Inclusion on March 28, 2025, Prof. Basu presented Financial Inclusion through Digital Governance: A Case Study of India’s Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (2019-2024), analyzing the impact of digital governance on financial inclusion in India.

Additionally, Prof. Basu contributed as a discussant in a session exploring initiatives in entrepreneurship, regional development, and policy implementation. The conference featured engaging plenary lectures, including a comparative analysis of governance models in the Neo-Weberian State session. Connecting with esteemed scholars and symposium members further enriched the experience, reinforcing the value of academic communities in public administration.
