National Conference on The Symbiosis of Democracy and Public Administration in India

Professor Rumki Basu, Head of the Centre for Public Policy & Governance at the Institute of Social Sciences, New Delhi, was the keynote speaker at the National Conference on The Symbiosis of Democracy and Public Administration in India, held on September 27-28, 2024, at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur. The conference marked the 75th anniversary of Teaching and Research at the Department of Public Administration & Local Self Government.

The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Professor Prashant Bokare, President of RTMNU, and attended by other dignitaries including the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Professor Sanjay Dudhe, Professor E. Vayunandan (Former Vice Chancellor of Yashvantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University), Professor Suresh Mishra (Indian Institute of Public Administration), and Professor Shyam Koreti (Dean, Faculty of Humanities).

The National Conference explored the intricate relationship between democracy and public administration in India, discussing key challenges and opportunities for strengthening this synergy. Prof. Basu’s keynote address provided valuable insights and perspectives on the topic.
